Greenway Rd / Dartmouth Rd junction Fatality

The GRA issued a statement which was published in the Herald Express recently, expressing our frustration with the lack of Council action over installing traffic lights at this junction and introducing a 30mph speed limit on this stretch of the Dartmouth Rd. (Details can be found on our website). This was the 2nd fatality in 6 months. We will continue to campaign hard on this issue. You may also want contact our Councillors and MPs to demand action if you agree and want to stop any more fatalities. (Ed- See Gazette Editorial for contact details).

The Common / Langdon Lane

We are exploring, with the Council, whether Pedestrian safety can be improved across the Common, adjacent to Langdon Lane. More news in next issue.

Planning Applications

The old sewerage works application has been withdrawn.

The “3 houses replacing one house planning application”, in Higher Warborough Rd, was apparently rejected by Torbay Planners.

Subscriptions Due

GRA membership Subscriptions (held at just £2 per household) are being collected door to door by our volunteers during October / November. Membership entitles voting at AGMs, you’ll be sent regular email news of issues affecting the village and be allowed to contribute to current issues.

A new GRA window sticker will be available soon, hopefully to be available to issue on payment of subscriptions, please display in a prominent position to show your support for GRA.

Can you help ?

We still need a Chairman, anyone interested in helping with this role, please contact Gordon Batten for more info.

We need volunteers to distribute newsletters, collect subs, and alert us to issues.

The next GRA meeting is 7:30 pm Wednesday 28th November at the Manor Inn. Anyone can attend.
